Meet Dr. Morgan Herrington
Though born and raised in Dallas, Texas, I’ve proudly called Bluffton home for the past 13 years. My parents retired to this charming Lowcountry community while I was completing my bachelor’s degree at the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!). During my gap year before dental school, I became acquainted with Bluffton from a different perspective—working as a waitress at a local restaurant.
My academic journey led me to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where I graduated at the top of my dental school class, before completing my orthodontic residency at the Augusta University Dental College of Georgia. Achieving my goal of becoming a board-certified orthodontist marked the culmination of years of dedicated schooling and practice.
For the past three years, my husband’s active duty aviation career with the Air Force brought us to Columbia, South Carolina. During this time, my professional experiences in both private and corporate orthodontic settings revealed a drastic contrast in patient care approaches. These observations were the motivation to establish my practice. Ownership was the only way to ensure truly exceptional patient experiences and outcomes.
I’m thrilled to bring my ethical, comfortable, and quality-focused approach to orthodontic care to the Bluffton community. Having celebrated our wedding at Colleton River in 2022, my husband and I couldn’t be more excited to return to the area we love. When not creating beautiful smiles, you’ll find us walking our Australian shepherd, enjoying the beach, watching college football, playing golf and pickleball, traveling, or frequenting local restaurants. After welcoming our baby girl on New Year’s Eve last year, I felt inspired to create my second “baby”— The Bluff Orthodontics.
